Project Title: “Intelligent System for Predictive Monitoring of Municipal Drinking Water Quality in Real-Time”

Valter Skupina Ltd. has successfully obtained co-financing for the implementation of the project “Intelligent System for Predictive Monitoring of Municipal Drinking Water Quality in Real-Time” in the public call for recovery and resilience with pilot-demonstration projects.

The aim of the project is to develop and successfully demonstrate the first comprehensive intelligent online system for monitoring, predicting, and managing drinking water quality in real-time:

  • throughout the entire distribution water supply system/network (from the water plant through the pipeline system to the end user) 24/7,
  • with AI-supported predictive analytics of collected data in the IoT cloud platform and a special application for notifying end users.

Project Duration: March 1, 2023 – February 28, 2026

Project Value: 1,740,764.44 EUR

Co-financing Value: 999,788.66 EUR

The project is financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union – NextGenerationEU. The investment is part of the action plan funded by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (NOO).

Support for Startups, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Strategic Sustainable and Circular Business Transformation – Sustainable and Circular Transformation Academy Program

The purpose of the project at Valter Group is to implement a comprehensive process of strategic sustainable and circular transformation of business operations. This transformation involves collaboration among the company’s management, owners, and employees and encompasses several key components:

  1. Preparation of a Sustainable and Circular Business Strategy: Developing a business strategy that aligns with the principles of sustainability and the circular economy.
  2. Strategic Assessment and Inventory of All Linear or Existing Value Creation Processes of Products/Services: This also includes understanding one’s own supply and value chains and identifying opportunities for establishing circular processes. An analysis of all negative impacts on the environment, people, and the community is also conducted.
  3. Transformation of Existing or Establishment of New Business Models Oriented towards Sustainability and Circularity: These models are intended for a specific portfolio of products/services and are aimed at long-term sustainability and circularity.
  4. Preparation of a Collection of Conceptual Implementation Projects: These projects are intended for the realization of sustainable and circular strategic business strategies.
  5. Preparation of an Implementation Project: This includes detailed planning and organization of project execution to achieve the set sustainable and circular goals.

With this approach, Valter Group strives to integrate sustainable and circular principles into its business processes, thereby increasing its competitiveness and contributing to a better environment and society.
